Another Midwest Meet!

Y33TREKker, I am off of work Sept. 26th & 27th. I would be willing to drive down there Saturday, spend the night, and drive back to Chicago on Sunday. Let's get this meet fired up, and see how many will show up in Effingham.

I don't have anything else planned at the moment. I'm thinking that if I go though, it would probably just be for a day on Saturday. I've also sent out a few feelers to non-VX and Corvette owning friends.

I caught a ride up to one of MAM's Porsche meets a few years ago and hung out for a day checking out the various rides. It's a really nice facility.

Not a whole lot more to do in Effingham...unless you like driving around looking at corn...but the town would probably come alive a little if there were a few VX's cruising the streets....oh, and with the Corvettes too.

Effingham Is a couple hours from me (I'm in Jacksonville 30 miles west of Springfield) and I might be able to join ya. I've worked every Fri, Sat and Sunday 12 hr days for the last 4 years in Springfield and have recently accepted a Maintenance Supervisor position and a Binding facility 1 block from my house. So went from driving 70 miles a day to walking 70 yards and weekends off, so I'm up for a little road trip.. But that might be the weekend our town has it's Cruise Night where our population doubles for a weekend. I'll check for sure and post back..

Any chance you ever make it over to the Mount Vernon, IL area? I used to work there, and every now and then I'd see a silver VX on IL 142 southeast of town driving east.

Meetwise, the friends and relatives I asked about meeting in F'ingham have pretty much all RSVP'd with previous plans, but I'd still be willing to drive up for a day.
