The belt that you are changing (drive belt/serp belt) is not timed to anything. The crankshaft pulley (the big pulley at the bottom) spins as your engine runs and "drives" the drive belt. The drive belt then keeps all the other stuff spinning. So no, nothing at all to worry about with this belt. Old one off, new one on.
