(sorry porsche owners, i have never meet a friendly porsche owner in person)
bart- for about 16-20k used you can pick up an STI nowadays...you get a car that is fast, corners great, stops on a dime, i can carry my 150lb rottie in, and i can drive year-round in colorado including back and forth to the mountains, and lastly but most important to me (as long as you dont molest it with mods) its reliable... theres the skinny for ya bart.

sorry, a little bit of a rant on the porsche thing...i just think that daily driver sports cars are retarded, how is it nice to only have 2 seats, only be able to drive your car 5 months of the year, and worry about it breaking down all the time, AND you cant work on it yourself??? that just seems to be true with all german sports cars....
GREAT vehicle if it is stricktly used for racing, or a weekend toy...but never a daily driver.

Personally having a STI or any fast sport car is about to really racing the S..... outter of it.

I can see all those STi,evolution WRX subs out there just driving around town,to me is insane, that little speeder was built for speed.

I love the subs,i think they are excelent machines, but get that sub into the race track & get some trophies back home.

In NJ there's a race track where you can see a good bunch of subs doing what they were built for,man i love to hear those mufflers roaring all over the track.

ill agree for the new STI vs. EVO..the front end on the EVO is nicer...but the fenders and practicality of the STI just keeps me coming back...

I would never buy a WRX, and if I went out an bought a Porsche right now, it would probably be a pristine black 928 or a Cayenne. Like I said above, the 911 is the wife's, and although it is nice, it ain't my style really.

ill agree that the cayenne is a nice vehicle...but i would still rather have a VX

And I agree about the new muscle too. Why spend $35k on a new Mustang
when I could own a CHERRY restored, uber tuned 1972 Mach 1?

    AGREED!!!!!

    Still, a good discussion...

    agreed again
