fastest vx speed

who sais the vx tops out at 115.........




OK dont flame me. my speedometer is acting up. it either dont work at all or it registers much faster than im actualy going, much faster than i am going. i think the computer is trying to limit the speed by bogging the engine when i go above 3,000 rpm at these speeds, it runs fine below the 100 mph mark (actual speed is probably around 60 - 70mph).

could this be the speed sensor faulting out or the mph guage itself?

I was in the Four Corners area in Utah on the way to Moab and got mine up to 105 mph. The govenor came on, and I could go any faster than that.

I had my original VX at 118 before the govenor kicked in.....and that was following Tone to Houston for a meet......ahhhh the good ole days....

I moved from west Fort Worth to north fort worth closer to Decatur. Not sure what blip your talking about
