Locker doesn't mean it can outwheel... ask Zeus
Also it's an "option" so calling it stock isn't really fair.

Well that proves nothing. You just like the FJ, so therefore it can out do most of the vehilces on this list? I love my VX, but I know there are plenty of Jeeps out there that would run circles around it.
And regardless, even if the FJ was THE BEST WHEELER in the world, it simply doesn't fit the list, ugly or not.If I add it, I might as well add the Xterra too, just for good measure, right?

I hope you're not implying Justin has skill!!![]()
j/k of course...
I like the FJ, I could drive one in the future, and I do believe it is very capable, but I wouldn't say it's anymore or less capable than any other on the list.
We're not talking stock trim here... We all dream of what we could do, can do and will do, not how they come stock![]()
Hopefully; the Chinese will build the new Hummer HX/H4 concept, and Ford will build the new retro Bronco concept. In the meantime, I'll just have to be happy with my FJ-40 & VX.
Incidentally, I used to own a 1997 Limited Edition (#127 of 300 made) LR Defender-90. I sold it to put a very substantial down payment on a house. The Defender-90 is a super-tough truck, but drank gas like frickin' kool-aid (when the speedometer needle goes to the right; the gas gauge needle goes to the left, at the same time - no joke). I will say this however, that the Defender-90 is one of the very few 4x4's; besides the legendary FJ-40, that retains (and often even increases) its re-sale market value.
