IIRC, no, you don't have to tear it down quite that far... but the way I see it, if you're already that close, why not go ahead and re-pack the bearings while you're at it? --- Other than being a little messy, it's not that hard -- hell , *I* can do it!

Ryan did you get this finished? I just noticed that I've got a torn boot over my lower ball joint. any advice would be much appreciated!
