I once asked this question to Tone (RIP) and wound up purchasing a set of Pirelli Scorpion Zeros 185 55R 18s. No modifications necessary and they were really nice looking shoes.

Not so great in New England winters however..

CROTCHROCKET--- That's gotta be a typo. A "185" series on a VX would look like a skinny wagon-wheel from the old west. Remember, our OEM stock tires are "245" series. Anything narrower than a "245" series would look hideous.

Hands down 285/60-18 Nitto Terra Grappler is the best tire for the stock rim, and no lifting needed. Look at the 1st pages of my gallery as mine came from the place I bought it with originally with these on there already
