Johnny, if you are running stock shocks and going with +2 or +3 OME springs, you will not need any type of adapters for the shocks. I recently did the same. I added 3 inch OME springs and about 11 full turns per torsion bar. No worries on the shocks.
Here is the finished product:
Also you don't have to get the extended s/s brake lines unless you just want them.
Good luck![]()
Let's try it again...

Actually I have noticed that my brakes are kinda mushy. I did not really pay any attention to it before adding the lift and didn't have a lot of seat time beforehand either. Honestly I can't see how lifting would make the pedal feel mushy, but I've been wrong before (once).
If you have the $$ and want to upgrade the brake lines, why not. Surely it couldn't hurt.
Also, I think Gussie's comment was referring to your profile info at the top right of your post. Normally the production number of your VX shows up there, taken from the vin number. Your profile only shows "01" which I would assume is the year of your VX.
And obviously there is still a bit of soreness and sensitivity surrounding the untimely passing of a much loved member of this board.
Don't let this one post set your opinion of the members here. This is a very useful forum full of some helpful people. It just takes a little time for them to get used to a new person.![]()
Johnny,
I messed up in the PM, the diff drop how2 is in the how2 section, not the download section of the forum.

Put a smiley after you say that Bub.
Do I need the spring spacers?
It seems some use them with the stock springs, and others still add them to the 912's.
I'm going to buy the Mud Grapplers.

If you get the 912's you will get close to 3 inches of lift in the back. With the spacer you will get close to 4. I don't think you can safely get more than 3 in the front with torsion bar crank without diff drop brackets.
