just a tip for anyone doing this...take the time to take the front bumper off and take the headlights completely off the car...makes it a 10 minute job, and you dont have to hurt your arm

I almost went that route. Especially before I figured out how to remove the driving lights, but I was concerned about all that double side tape business I keep hearing about. Is there anything besides screws holding that front section on?

There isn't any tape holding the front bumper on, but there are a bunch of hidden bolts. You will need a torx bit to remove the cladding screws, you'll need to remove the front grill, and there are two bolts hiding behind the front license plate (if you have one), and one bolt behind each of the turn signals in the bumper. Also, there is no need to remove the two torx screws right in the middle of the cladding on either side of the front grill; they're just cosmetic.

It's not a hard process, but be patient find all your screws and bolts, and make sure to disconnect all the wiring to the driving lights and turn signals and you should be fine.

The double-sided tape is on the door cladding, not on the front.

Anyone know if the tape is on the front fender cladding? Rear fender clading? Lower rear cladding? Hatch?

If you remove the headlights, do they go out of alignment?

nope...the alignment has to do with the screws on the BACK of the lights...taking them on and off doesnt affect alignment at all my friend
