Why deal with the nauseous exhaust fumes from your race vehicle, when you could be sniffing root beer, pina colada, or bubble gum instead? Manhattan Oil fuel fragrances eliminate unpleasant exhaust fumes and the eye, nose, and throat irritation that come with them. Just mix them in with your regular fuel--one 4 oz. bottle treats 30 gallons of alcohol or 20 gallons of gas. Plus, they're available in 19 different fragrances.
Did you go to Powerflow "proper" in Milton Keynes or somewhere else? Mine's going to need some work on the 'zhaust at some point, but before then I'll need some additioal protection for the underside. Mine's standard apart from the slightly modified Trooper rear section (£12 I think - I have a spare one thanks to the unique way Millner's dispatching works...) which got re-shaped to fit by my handy local exhaust place.
Its a fair improvement over the embarrassing spud-gun that was on it before...
A
edit:- meant to add that exhausts definitely change their tone as they carbon up to don't panic too much...

Yep, i went to the propper PowerFLow, it was A1 Autocenre in NW9, north london.
As its a big company they are sorting the problem out but not impressed!! However greesemonkey had a powerflow on his vx and it sounds great (i am now getting the same oval 4x4 box as him)
Speed Thrills, Boredom Kills!!
CHANGED IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No more loud farting noises![]()
Although i kind of miss it, lol. I got an oval straight through box fitted so there is a nice bassy tone and not too much rasp.
Was thinking of romoving the Cat though![]()

Just got a Flowmaster super 44 installed. Had a resonating tip put on also and it sounds unbelievable. A lot like a 350z when its really wound up.
Here is a video of mine

hope it helps.

My baby sounds good.
I recently bent my exhaust while wheeling - the PO installed an ugly split tip from like Auto Zone or something that stuck out too far. I backed it in to the ground and bent the pipe over the axle. It was banging on the frame so I had it re-done. I went with a Magnaflow and a clean rolled lip straight cut tip. It is mellow, a little throaty, and clean looking. Hopefully I wont hit ground anymore...
Ok I finaly decided to have a look last at the Cat last monday. And to my surprise No sensors! Just the cat it self.
So i booked it in at a local car shop that i had do exhaust work on my old celica.
Took it down this morning and got the cat taken out and replaced with a pipe.
So far. Its a tad louder. More exhaust tone that droney loudness you get with say a less baffled muffler.
Quite happy i did the mod.
Heres the Cat before it got taken out.
And with the new pipe inplace and the cat gone!.

So how does it sound???
I was gonna do this asap but need it to have the connectors on for the MOT
Sound well only driven home with it on. But i must say sounds like it has more balls lol. Im still running stock muffler. But yea pretty pleased with the result.
I guess for you, You could get a pipe that can bolt on and off like the cat.
I was gonna go for that option but was heaps more $.
Overhere we dont have any like tests like your guys Mot.
Look forward to that when we move to NZ![]()
Gonna cost loads to ship the VX, lol
CAT's gonna go then in that case. Can't find the square flanges though otherwise i'd do it myself!
I did loss some of it though, specially after i added the 2nd muffler
I'm running with one pipe of 2" each side (OEM diameter)
The mufflers aren't high performance, but half the size of the OEM muffler.
The trick here is the pipe's diameter. My mufflers are very loud on the middle RPM's,they triggers any car's alarm when ever i push down on the gas pedal but it growls very good according to neighbors living three blocks away LOL.
However i'm aware this set up have to be redesigned, just isn't the time.
I've scheduled a dyno test for my horse on augst with the current exhaust configuration & figured out how much HP is the horse handling.
I think our 215 hp engine doesn't give us much of options to gain a nice exhaust growl such as the subaru impreza STI.
Can we ?
Opinions please
Dakar was just the begining.
