At a VX meet a few years back, Ron (The Original Skid Plate Guy) hand delivered Kahuna and myself Front Skid Plates. Kahuna's VX had a Bull Bar, we didn't have any problems installing.

I've had a wench or two that fit nicely in the passenger seat....

....not sure any of them would of taken kindly to be stored in the bumper

One of the cleanest behind cladding winch installs was on Todd Adams VX.

Sue, you should know by now, anything will fit as long as you have access to a sawzall!

Gene, long time since we have heard from you. Hope all is well!

I didn't ask the question…..and look at the dates, Gene didn't respond recently. Hecka has been bringing up many old posts over the past several weeks…can tell he's really been trolling through the site to see all the cool info, pics and such...

I'm putting that mighty "Search Feature" to use lately Just rolling through old VX modification posts for ideas on what I want to do with my rig before I take it down to CO this summer. I'm going to be building a cargo box and subwoofer, I have a indy4x lift to buy + duratracs lined up, I want to get a bull bar that Kat has, I'd like to make those two convenient non-fog-light fog light spots useful, I was thinking about installing a giant moon roof to span the whole length of the roof rails(really only considering it as there are possibilities that the seals could leak after some rock play), and a host of other personalized touches to make this thing into my own.

So feel free to link old posts to any questions I have - or if you would like to add some new perspective after 10 years of ownership I'm open to all!

Why did you decide to get rid of bull bar? Do you know of anywhere else I can find one?

I decided I liked the plastic skid plate better, and didn't like both together, so sold the bull bar.

Here's several threads about the bull bar:

You can buy a Westin or similar Bull bar....

...and any welding shop can fabricate a couple of brackets.

Use the two "tow hook" threaded 'pads' on the front of the frame
    for bracket attachment points.

Post #11 here should help :-
