Very nice indeed.
Since I very rarely use my back seat for passangers, I just fold them flat and have a blanket on them for my pet transport. Using the seats instead of taking them out keeps my dog from moving around as much and she seems more comfortable on them as well.
One of the reasons I bought the VX is because I could not get two boxer dogs in my old Porsche. The VX is a sports car with carrying capacity, so to speak. So away went the back seat. And to keep the devils out of the front seats and to protect the interior from scratching I installed a Firstrax 42" collapsible kennel. It's great. It's got it's own waterproof flooring, it zips closed after the dogs jump in and you can kind of look through it when backing. Most important, in short stops they stay protected because of the soft net like sides. Also. it's color coded gray and black to match the interior. Can't say enough good things about this kennel. I tried other cheaper ones, but this is the best. You just lash it down with bungees to the floor hooks and away you go with room to spare for luggage behind the seats. Most of all they love it, it's their dog house on wheels. So there you go.
Sambo, where did you find the kennel? I looked on the Firstrax website after you posted this and it looks like it would be ideal for the wife's Axiom. She also has a gray/black interior, but I can't find the kennel you're talking about in gray, only in these brownish/greenish/canvas looking colors. Lil' help?
Thanks!
Just finished installing the same barrier, but since I removed my rear seats, my barrier is right behind front seats....which leaves the lower half of the area open. I happened to have an older barrier from another vehicle that was broken (not the cage style, just the horizontal bar style) but it fit perfectly into the bottom half. I just used some zip ties to tie the two barriers together and it's now a full area barrier. I then used a several more zip ties to eliminate the many rattles and it's all good!No more Teddy, the crazy Pomeranian, in the front seat or my lap....or the other 3 dogs either....
