Hey Bren, good to hear from you! Staying warm in this rough winter I hope?

I think I ran the numbers awhile back and found that there was a higher percentage of Proton owners registered on this site vs. the other colors. But as I noted on another thread, a certain portion of those members were all registering the same VX, so it gets difficult to count. I can tell you that around 80 unique Foxfire VINs have registered on this site at one time or another, so that's a pretty high percentage. How it compares is difficult to tell since it would take so long to uniquely ID VX's with higher production counts (Proton is nearly twice as many, and obviously Ebony/Astral are much, much, more).

I suppose you could define "active" by total post count by color, but I'm pretty sure that tom4bren has KAT and I beat by himself. Hmmm... give me some time and I'll find a statistic to support your argument.

    Good to hear from you!

I wanted a Proton, but now that I have a Foxfire I think I changed my mind. Already received many compliments.

This is my newly acquired 1998 (RHD of course)

They were never avaiable in South Africa, and the import regulations here makes it just about impossible to bring them in....BUT I MANAGED!!

I'M IN LOVE!! Fair amount of work that I've got to get her back to her original self. Appearance more than anything else. Mechanically in perfect condition. Even the seat cloth show NO sign of wear. The previous guy must have had covers on it.

Nice VX Sakkie! There's another member here from RSA that has 2 VXs. He has two JDM limited edition color "red rock mica" IIRC, but looks really similar to yours. Probably the only 3 on the entire continent there!
Would be so awesome to see a pic of all 3 lined up! Impi isn't very active on the forum, but probably worth connecting with him via PM here. His name is Robert, really nice guy. Owns an offroad shop.

You sure his name is not Robert? Robert had one in the UK, but sold it recently due to not able to bring it to RSA, and he does indeed own a foxfire like mine, AND own an offroad fitment centre. A very close and dear friend of mine!!! We're roughly 80 miles apart. Next time I'm there we'll park the twins next to each other and post a pic

brain malfunction...yes, Robert is his name.....
I didn't know he sold the one, that's got to be frustrating.
When I found a set of nice black/gray leather seats, I sold him my original (black/gray leather) seats from my Foxfire as his originals were just totally thrashed, like a dog chewed them up.

Hey guys! New Foxfire owner here. Got it last night at 10:30. In love with this car. 2001 with 115k on it. Drives well. Can't wait to fix up a few things and have her absolutely purring. I'm so proud to get out of this VX and I love the stares that come my way at stoplights and parking lots.

Congrats, Given2Fly! You got the best color. Where did you buy it? 'vxmaverick' is maintaining a VIN list of Foxfires. Instant Message him your VIN, if you are interested in helping the list accuracy. Use the "Search" function to research questions, but don't hesitate to ask if you can't find information. We're pretty friendly here to people who first try to help themselves. Good luck.

Well First Try.... Koldyn Says Hi.....

I have been looking at this site for years and first and foremost I want to THANK all of you for posting and pics.. I have owned my FIRE for about 14 of her 15 years.... LOVE IT... Now it is time to put a little .. love and tenderness towards her. She has carried three kayaks at times to the water but now over time she has
Broken spare tire bolt here .. window issues there... yep I have experienced the same as most. I hope to be a bit more active as I have a bit more time now.....
Again hi from the mid-Atlantic from Koldyn.
