just passed 111K on the clock, still pulls like a champ.
And thanks to whomever posted the hood fix to raise the bumpstops. Though I do miss wanking on the hood release lever to check the oil.

George, Cary, & Roxie the English Bulldog..''99 silver #1897
You know I'm on the fence about this. I had a nasty sasquach looking guy willing to give me $9k but then told me he planned on gutting the interior's back half to "carry tools around". I declined---she deserves better. The problem is it's sitting in the garage more than it's being driven. I have an upcoming retirement in December and momma & I were considering a "touring" car to travel about. If I do go out and get a Lexus Hybrid or Infiniti then I'm looking at 3 autos (the VX and my '06 Frontier) with each needing insurance.
So as I said I'm not really sure what to do. I guess I'll fall back to a lesson my daddy taught me early in life in that "if you don't know what to do then do nothing--things usually will take care of themselves".
If I find the right owner I'll let the jewel go but I'm not flexible on the price so she'll be mine for a while longer I think.....and I'll have no regrets. None at all.![]()
Oops...![]()
BTW, my astral is #1214 with 145k miles on it.

I'm going to 2nd that Sasquatch remark. Apparently the VX is THE go-to vehicle for us lanky, gangly fur-covered fools. An natural choice given our chosen habitat![]()
#0140 - I've owned this VX for a year and some. I'm the 3rd owner, started with 124k. I had to replace a CV boot, fuel injector, and head gasket. After that drove her cross country with no problem.
Just hit 136k, just need brakes, new shocks and some minor body work on the front right fender.
year 1999 mileage 194,362 vin. 1307 bought it in early 2000 still turns me on when I turn it on!!!
i for one would love to see pics of a $1300 vx
1307 is the last four of the VIN, not the price.![]()
