Can't Y'all even let me vent for a few minutes before Ya shoot me down.

I guess $215 for 3 years on a vanity plate really ain't bad. The real shock tho was the 50% increase from last year.

heh yeah.. MD is 180 for 2 years + 25/ year for the vanity plates.. AND they wont give me VX0563.. its not registered to anyone else.. they keep telling me that its a format error

Don't feel bad. I just renewed the tags on my VX and my Cobra in December, for TWO YEARS, for 94.50 each, including vanity plates....

ARGHHHH!! Sore subject! Lived in Los Angeles, learned painful reality of like $500 - $600 per car per yr plus SMOG test fees, then moved to Texas & took great delight in paying only $72/yr per car flat fee, no SMOG....but then, uggggghhhh, moved to AZ 15 months ago & realized they're just about as high as Calif....

Then coincidentally transferred registration on hubby's FJ and traded my car for a new 4Runner in the same month....MARCH '08.....don't EVEN ask how bad THIS March was! Note to self.....don't get 2 cars registered in same month in AZ ...oh and let's throw in the appendectomy/hospital bill too .....OUCH! Oh well, at least I'm alive.....and my VX is in December. :grinp:

Thanks Gregg. I was starting to feel better but then I remembered that I have to renew the tags on the TLC in April.

Thanks Kat. Don't do that anywhere ... of course that's why I forgot that my tags were expiring on the VX - 6 cars (ours & kids) that all have inspections & tags spread out all over the calendar ...
