I won't be able to make it to the memorial in Texas, but please know that I will be there in thoughts and in spirit.
Tone was a true one of a kind, and I think it would be a terrible disservice if we DIDN'T dedicate this years Moab, and VX run, to him. Scott and Laura let me know if there is anything that I can do to help pull this together.
Still just in utter disbelief.
"The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong, it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair."
-Douglas Adams, Mostly Harmless
What?! I am speechless.
Tone, to me, was the VX pioneer. He was my go-to guy from day 1 and his knowledge and services were most appreciated. He will be GREATLY missed. The VehiCROSS world has lost a legend, but gained a Saint.
My thoughts are with his family and everyone close and dear to him. Rest well brother.

Wow, words fail me completely to describe all of the love and support here. You have no idea how appreciative Lisa and Tone's family are of all of your comments and condolences. Thanks to you all from everyone so very, very much.
I have a little more info on the memorial service, it will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday at:
Remembrance Gardens
4214 Capitol of Texas Hwy N.
Austin, TX 78746
Edit: Julian beat me to it, thanks Jilian.
RIP Tone
I have been trying to contact Tone this past week. Originally, I had posted a need for a hitch a couple of weeks ago...and this enthusiastic and kind-hearted man offered to discount me a new hitch. I was relentlessly e-mailing him all week and attempting to call his phone before driving up to Austin this Saturday to meet with him...not realizing that tragedy had happened to his family and this community. I am deeply sorry for the loss, my condolences and best wishes are offered to those who had the opportunity to know him. I am beside myself to have missed the chance to meet and know this man. God Bless him and all who are mourning. I will be in Austin, and plan to visit his memorial, although I am a stranger.
No one is a stranger in this family.... I'll help you with what I can

I met Tone and Lisa in Dec. when Tone put some mods on my VX... He was a generous man with a heavy heart, I spent a great day with a great person. I will miss the future that could have been. My condolence's to Lisa and his family.
We sit together, my VX and I, until only the VX remains.--Iamironman
i'm just sick to hear this... i don't believe this is real. i too am heavy of heart as you all are...
yet feel an immense amount of privilege and happiness to have met him, shared a small piece of the world with him... this VX passion.
sadness, heavy heart and shock... what more can i say?

He lingers -- happily -- in a new hybrid state of semi-hormonal adolescence and responsible self-reliance.

I am only 1 year into the ownership side of the VX obsession, but learned early on that TONE was "the man".
May his passion live forever in the rest of us.

For all those who knew Tone personally I am very sorry for your loss. For those like me who have only read his threads jof knowledge, bought his mods he will be missed greatly. Just last week I left a thread for him to chime in on since he always was very knowledgable on VX issues and was stunned to hear the news. I have been part on this site since 02 we wil all sadly miss Tone.
RIP TONE!
My prayers go out to his family, i am sorry for their loss.

Very saddened to hear this news. Tone was a good man who offered sound advice and backed up his talk with production. I always got a chuckle from his ribbing other members about their vx pipe dreams, telling them either no one has actually built xxx yet or "build it". Bought my s/c and many other parts from him with no problems.
Truly a loss to our community and my heartfelt condolences to his friends and family.
Anthony's obituary is in the Austin American Statesman today.
