    bad fuel pressure regluator symptoms

Ive been noticing a few problems with my Vx lately.
First was mpg has lessened, but mostly the start / stalling
problem. This can happen when cold, but sometimes more
    so when warm.
    Start...then dies.
An easy way to see if your regulator is bad is to simply pull
off the vacuum line. If it smells like gas or gas literally pours
out of the hose, your regulator is toast.
Try BAP before the dealer to find one new if you can.
I didnt find changing it all that hard, but took about an hour.
If the problem was there too long, it could of actually washed
the cylinder walls of oil with the extra fuel being sucked in.
Pull your dipstick and smell your oil. If it smells like fuel, I suggest
putting a qt of ATF in the oil, start and let idle for 5-10 min, then
immediatly change your oil and filter

Nice close up. Any chance you could take another shot, but this time pull back so we can see where you are in the engine compartment?

Hey Az, saw you today! You were in the turn lane on Mission (turning east on Ajo). I was going the opposite way and waved but I don't think you saw me.

Just out of curiosity, did you have any issues with the new snap ring that came with your FPR? I just replaced my FPR for the second time and found that I had to keep using the "original" snap ring, both times. The one that came with the new ones was not only too small and wouldn't snap tight into place (with the S/C FPR block as well as the OEM FPR seat) but it was actually a different design altogether.

Anyways, just curious. Maybe I got the 2 flunkies that existed, heh.

Had the same experience when I changed mine last summer.

Same (at least a snap-ring prob) but the one in the kit was to thick.
