"HOWEVER, maybe you need to paint your insert white now"
Who was that strange man that said that. We KNOW it wasn't Mr. (if it ain't black ... I ain't drivin it) Bart.

Put a smiley after you say that Bub.
LOL, yup, it was me. I have always been very fond of contrast, and this goes for the VX as well. Even though my VX is all black, it still maintains that 2-tone look, or Black on Black. In the case of the lighter colored VXes, I think that contrast is even more important. I think he either needs to bring back that contrast and paint the hood insert white to match, or paint it black to blend in with the rest of the hood. Having the black hood, gray insert, white body, yellow lights, red vinyls, things are getting to 'busy'. There has to be a uniformity that brings it all together and keeps it looking pro.
Is that Battle Angel?
See, I like the yellow up there. It looks good and rally-ish to me. And I love the red vinyls on the side, but now, Coastie has the hood to finish and I am confident he will succeed!!
Part of doing good mods to me is keeping it simple. You don't want to overload your vehicle with every possible mod available just because you can. When you do that, you start going down the tacky path from which there is usually no return. But as always, this is just my opinion. To each his own!

Yup - I've always liked the contrast of black on black![]()
con⋅trast –noun: opposition or juxtaposition of different forms, lines, or colors in a work of art to intensify each element's properties and produce a more dynamic expressiveness.
So therefore good sir, contrast can be "black on black" as in gloss black on flat black, or in the case of my VX, the gloss black compared to the almost black cladding. It does need to be "light and dark" as you may be thinking, although, that is likewise considered "contrast".

Less is more, this is what I believe in on all mods........................
