i may even try to find a way to hide the receiver in the cladding...

I don't really think that would be possible with Tone's hitch, there isn't enough room back there, but that said, Tone's hitch doesn't look bad at all, in fact I think it looks pretty stock like it belongs there. It's just a whore to install.
