Drive Shaft - Torn dust cover?

Just noticed that the "dust cover" of the drive shaft is torn. The small cv boot like piece.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I would guess it is more common on lifted VXs.

There isnt a remedy or singular part for this vs the whole shaft right?

    Wrench If it were me...

I'd look outside the box...measure the diameters in question & search the web for options...dust boot search on eBay provided this example..

Find something close, & make it work for your application.

Or, go to a local salvage yard that has some Troopers etc in it...

I have torn a few of them since I did the diff drop. Don't worry about it. Pick up a spare from a late model TOD trooper or Acura SLX, they are the same. Then, if the prop shaft ever poops out, just throw the spare in. been wheeling with the torn one for 3 or 4 years now, no problems.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

Good news. I assume its been that way for a while too. The grease looked ok.

I still get a coasting vibration while at higher speeds. Thats what made me look there.
