Thanks Bart, too bad you took the racing stripe idea My safari rack is somewhat unique as well, it's not the normal square/rectangle shape, and its stamped with a large "X" at each junction,

It should fit the unique curves of the Vx perfectly. I will of course post new pics when its on.
As far as the Terra Grapplers, I think of them like Nikes, everyone gets them cause the swoosh on the side...lol. If I could have put any tire I wanted, I would have gone with the Toyo Mud Terrain, that's my favorite as far as looks go, but for a daily driver, no way!!!!

I take it you are talking about kodiak's black racing stripe on his Proton? Yes, looks very good. I don't think he would mind if you copied his idea, eh kodiak?

Copy away! Yeah, it would be nice to have another stripped VX on the board. But be carful, Put some thought in to it. I’ve seen some pretty bad stripe jobs and I’d hate to see a bad stripe job on a VX. Research the style you want and try and find a good vinyl kit.

Man, I can't believe how many combos there are out there. Cool to see them all in one place.

And why can't my VX's paint job look like this:

There’s just something about the FJs OEM 17in steel wheels. With some flat mat black paint and some nice MTs or some Baja tires it would look so tuff.

    Check out these bad boys:

Yeah, that's right! Rollin' Geolanders wrapped around some SWEET 'teens from Isuzu. Sorry, just had to put that up.

I'm with Bart; how come my VX doesn't get that clean. I saw that picture and it looks like the paint is liquid. Nice job!!

No offense taken "NFNTRUTH79" (tit4tat). I'm just glad that "total piece of junk" of yours found the best possible home to bring it back to life!!! Job well done. It just goes to prove that a little TLC goes a long way. Your Proton looks simply dazzling, and those Grabber AT2's are just awesome at only 44 lbs, and under $150. The Terra Grappler's have been officially de-throned. Welcome the new VX tire king, the Grabber AT2.

    ntntruth,
Hey can you post a close up pic of your VX tires/wheels? I want to get a better look at the tire that replaces the Nitto. I'm always looking to upgrade.
    Peace.

I want to give a huge shout out to Riff Raff for all his research on the best tire for the Vx, at 44lbs and under 150 dollars, this tire is amazing, and should easily dethrone the terra grappler, if you can get ahold of these tires, they are on national back order at most retailers.
Oh yes he also e-mailed me about the same tires.
I'll definetly stick to these tires.I now working on the wheels,Wow there's so many nice-looking wheels that i can't choose any
    Dakar was just the begining.
