BTW, I was looking for a nice sedan in 1996 and was about to get a 1990 BMW 850 (silver/gray) with 45K miles. Price was right: $18,500. I consulted my trusted mechanic just to hear this: Do not even try! Very expensive parts, lot of problems with the engine, besides a V-12 that will put a hole in your pocket!!!
(My mechanic was an ex-BMW technician).

I settled for a 1994 325i sports package...which I drove for a couple of years.

But nothing compares to the VX!
