Sounds like this could be a good product for hobbyists that do vacuum molding.

    Smile

I just noticed that the person selling the roof rail covers (tambourineman7676), located in Belleville, Illinois, is also selling a Vehicross OEM front ashtray and rear ashtray. On the front ashtray item page he says to Keep an eye on my other auctions for more VehiCross parts!

    So we'll see.

At the risk of inflaming the eBay auction... Isuzu Parts has the four covers listed at an MSRP of $57.29 EACH, for a total cost of $229.16, so they're worth AT LEAST that much. Factor in the hard-to-findness, and it could go very high...

We'll see what these go for...then maybe I'll volunteer to do some DD..

...and see what we can get them made for.

(Mold and manu 20 sets...$2500...cost per set...$125 .. maybe?? ...who knows!)

Here's what I get when I pull up those parts on my Isuzu Parts CD,
but those prices are probably not very current. The CD is from 8/04.

I bought that CD on eBay earlier this year for $10. It's kinda like myisuzuparts.com, but with more info just like the dealers have. I still haven't figured out everything it's capable of. It's kinda complex for a dope like me. It took me like 45 minutes just to create that list!

I mostly got it 'cuz Isuzu said they were gonna pull the plug on myisuzuparts.com in early '08. They obviously kept the site up for now, I think due to outraged Isuzu owners at the Planet and elsewhere. At least I have that CD if that site ever goes down for good. The CD covers all Isuzu passenger vehicles from '81-03. The website covers '86-07.

    Thumbs up

Joe Isuzu, so it was you...lol. I was wondering if it was a fellow VX member/supporter. I was lucky cuz in ended close to midnight on the West Coast and as for you, it was like 3:00am. I would be sleeping too!! I told myself the limit was $110.00 and I think you had it at $66-$102.50. Well, like I said earlier, we shall see how "new" they are and hope the seller is true to his word. Thanks for the shout!!

jo (JoFotoz), I think I will hold on to them but still come over, have a beer and grab my calender when it is ready!!!:_drool:

Yup, it was me, oh well, they will show up again at some point and I'm not worried about it, to be honest with you, I'd prefer you have them as you truly NEED them, I have some already and was looking for spares as I don't drive with the roof rack on all the time and I'm paranoid of braking one every time I remove them
I definitely hope you have no issues with them when you receive them (no broken tabs or whatnot)

Thanks!!! I did receive your email, replied, and glad to see a fellow VX'r on the site. I do feel better considering you had no feedback yet but we all have to start somewhere! It is too bad their are a lot of "kink" deal ebayers out there so it makes us all paranoid. I am looking forward to removing the racks and installing the covers! Thanks again Tambourine Man! You will have the first positive feedback from me!!
