I haven’t don it but I think they go up thru the back and use the existing wire hole for the upper brake light.

i think bart did that.. i used a hobby box to hold relays in the engine bay and ran the wires up under the hood molding and up inside the passenger door opening weather stripping

Same here, ran the switch wires through the grommet by the brake booster to the relays under the hood, then up the pass side weatherstripping to the lights.
Not as clean to look at as Barts, but easier to remove if I decide to change things around.
I used a 2" square piece of aluminum box tubing bolted to the floor of the rack from side to side, to raise the lights up enough to "see" over the front cross peice. That way, I didn't have to drill into anything that shows.

The WeatherPack connector I got makes removing my entire setup really easy now. I highly suggest getting one of these to unhook everything. They work really well. I used a six wire connector. Got it from Summit for like $10.

    Ha...
Zeus your lights were the inspiration for me to mount my lights to my xpedition (smaller sleeker lighting) Hella FF100s.

Thanks for the tips!, I'll probably keep the wires toward the front, no spoiler entry. Don't want to run wires clear to the back, then clear under the hood, and then back into the dash.

    Thanks again!

Agreed! is yours the 695 or the 696?

Mine's the smaller rack, might end up getting a bigger one down the road.

I ran all my wires to the rear of the roof and through a hole I drilled in the spoiler.

From there, everything goes along the headliner, down the pillar and behind the dash through the firewall hole.

Since the photo above was taken, I have added a WeatherPack connector so I can remove the roof rack and cables with ease. I am almost done updating VX MADNESS, I will have detailed photos of my light setup included. Should have it all done by next week sometime.

Moab video will be coming soon too!

Mine is 3rd size - not a Thule branded Xpedition though.

    Looks good Bart...

I'm going to order the connectors as you suggest. However I'm not entirely sure how I'll wire yet... I just may be going through the center off the roof

I installed an electronic Sunroof in my S10, so I think a small hole will be ok in my VX... not entirely sure... yet.

Thanks for the updates and images... Zeus yours looks like the "IDEAL" size... can it fit a spare? I'll just check it out tomorrow.

    Later!
