Looks like someone lost a bet.![]()
This is a picture VXCrazy posted, but I wanted her to let us all in on how she got her toes all messed up. I will PM her to see if she will tell us the story...
LOL! Yes, I had to see the Podiatrist the day I got back from the Grand Canyon, hiked 26 miles in about 11 hrs with 5500 ft of elevation change....lots of deep blisters on heels and had those 3 toenails removed and the big toenail is going to be lost I think as well.....I was finally able to put shoes on yesterday, although it has rubbed blisters raw again....no lidocaine either! Moncha, toenails ripped off is MUCH better than open heart surgery! I will only walk funny for a little bit.....I know you will appreciate my humor there..
The day after the hike we went for margaritas....and after just 3 I agreed to do this hike again in October....LOL, too funny huh???
Thanks guys for checking on me, I was sure thinking of you all when I was in AZ that week while ya'll were in MOAB!![]()
Ask forgiveness, not permission.
Personally, I'd still rather have the heart surgery. I was just glad to see that I could recognize the missing toenails. Hope you get better soon!

Its the incline that kills the feet.....that and damp socks.....my extra pair was wet in my pack....my feet were fine doing 15 miles at a time here in Texas on flat land......shoes were broken in, my dr said my right foot is the worst since I am right handed I am right foot dominate......first I have heard of that!
Yeah Scott, glad you recognized the parts....glad you are up to posting again too!
