Too bad they don't make on-the-fly adjustable spring spacers. The ones here tell you to get it to the right height and tack weld. What if instead of tack-welding, there was just a cotter pin to hold it in place, like the nut on a wheel bearing, or better yet, servo controlled. As you pull off the asphalt and get on a trail, twist a knob, and the VX rises to the occasion. I'm kind of surprised that after all these years, that a ride height knob isn't standard in serious 4x4 SUV's and PU's by know. Those engineers work so hard to maximize on-road stability and off-road ability at a fixed ride height. Think how much easier it would be to build a cross vehicle if ride-height was on-the-fly adjustable. Plus think of the gas savings.
