OH no... I am sure it will be pricey. But I like the look of it better than all the other hybrids out there, plus it has awesome performance specs. I'd be willing to put up the dough for a japanese vehicle... that it doesn't randomly burst into flames like some Italian made exotics.![]()
Gas = Bad. Hopefully we'll be seeing some diesel hybrids along with the coming spate of new cleaner diesels next year. Diesel is more efficient and you can grow your own, meaning more US jobs and domestic re-investment in energy commodities as opposed to our current "fund the enemy" energy plan.
I thought this was very interesting, especially all the colorful commentary: http://www.autoblog.com/2006/11/21/t...anks-to-isuzu/

Over 20 years of Isuzu enjoyment...
Europe got the unveiling of the Subaru Boxer turbo diesels last week. Being the hige fan of the Boxer engine, Subaru, and TDI, when they hit the states (apparently not till 2013... ppfffttt!), I am gonna be all about it.
Currently, I believe it's only in the Outback, Forester, and I "think" the Legacy, and the output is no power loss from the gasoline sibling, yet, with about 40mpg. Now THAT is what I am talking about.
Yep, the good old USA.... always last on the list for anything REALLY beneficial, unless the wealthy here decide otherwise.![]()

We run a different diesel product than Europe for one thing, and I think Japan does less domestic diesel than we do. The boxer layout is naturally balanced (like an inline six) so it should work out well for them....we'll see. Lot less HP. but no loss of twist, and 30% or better gains in MPG.
