    Talking My new '01 VXSTLTH!!!

    Hi All,

    Some of you may have seen my last post a couple weeks ago about Rod Knock vs. Timing Belt Tensioner...
    Well... During that whole ordeal, while I still thought it was rod knock that my '99 Astral had, I used the situation as a perfect opportunity to buy a second VX!

    I now have an '01 Ebony with 50k on it, and in INCREDIBLE condition!
    I saw it on AutoTrader.com, up in San Jose, called the dealer, got pics, and that weekend flew up to see it! I couldn't believe how well kept it was, and how STRONG it ran! I bought it on the spot! It's obvious that the VX has never been off road! (Not sure yet if I want to keep it that way or not).

    So, the first thing I did when I got it home was set up an appointment for tinting... It's now Limo'd all around! I also gave it the smoked head/tail light covers from my '99, and the front badge I made... Oh.. and the NACA duct hood insert too! I couldn't believe how flipp'n cool it looked! I then got my license plate to say VXSTLTH... (tinted plate cover too... ).

    So now I'm gonna post a new FOR SALE thread for my '99!

    Looks good, but why not keep the '99 just for wheeling...then you can baby the new one!

    I'd love to... but we just bought 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 for my wife too.. So that'll cover the towing/4x4ing.
    Plus.. um.. I'm a little stretched financially now...

    I still may decide to throw on some all-terrains and use it for mild trails, etc... but anything wilder will go to my amphibian 6x6 :bwgr:
