You don't need to thrash your VX just because you're in Moab either, I mean, there will be enough of that with Billy and Ldub there anyway, . I plan on doing the VX run and possibly one other, because I too value my VX highly, and would never put it in unnecessary peril.

Anyway, just do it man! I really don't know if Moab 09 will happen for me, since we really want to go to Japan next year, so you may never get a chance to meet the infamous, insidious, notorious NFPGASMASK if you don't make Moab 08!
