Maybe some of you L.A. people might be wanting a little beach get away! Its only a couple hours up the highway!

Tomorrow I will be on the road to L.A. Not sure if I will have internet service or not. Will try to get on here though. But just in case I don't PM me your phone#'s. I will do the same before I leave.

Just wondering if Silver Strand is the best place to meet...it will be mobbed on sat afternoon.

When are you driving into San Diego on sat..and which way are you coming...??

It maybe easier/better to meet just off the 5 or 8 freeways.

I know a couple of good places.

I will be coming in Sat morning. Then I have to pick up my race packet and hit my hotel (Coronado Island Inn). So I would be coming from the Island. Would kind of like to check out the surf conditions though since I will be swimming through it Sun morning But I am up for options. Something easy to find though since I don't know the area to well.

I second that, Jo.
Plus, Silver Strand is rather, uhh, dull.

You'll be passing by both of us on your way there anyway, and it ain't but 20 minutes back up north (with Saturday traffic) to Jo's zip code. (PacBeach)

I think that or Crown Point would be good. Jo?
Or even Downtown is right on the other side of Coronado if you're short on time.

I'd go for Pacific Beach...OR...Perry's!!

Lots of good food and parking at both.

I'm VERY happy to go to Silver Strand ..
...and play follow the leader back to civilization!

You can't go wrong with Perry's, but I think they close at around 2.

I'll try to get there, wherever it is.
