To me, preventive maintance is key, and if you have
over 80k on your stock hoses, you may want to consider
putting these on prior to any leaking or bursting in the summer
    while stuck in traffic etc.
An easy way to ruin an aluminum motor like ours is to overheat
    it too much.
For the leaking syndrome, it could be your hose or more likely
it could be where the plastic tank meets the aluminum..over time
they tend to split right there and will cause a leak, which will only
    get worse over time.
As for installing them, if you are a little mechanically inclined and
have a few tools and an hour to kill, you can usually do it yourself.
Have a gallon of antifreeze around to be able to refill your system
when you are done and be sure to properly dispose of the old stuff
away from pets and a way thats good for the invironment
Yeah, is there a proper way to drain the old fluid? This might be something I do next month. Like I said, I have had periodic leaks here and there. Some under the engine that I have not located yet. Just little drips.

I wonder if a new radiator and new hoses would be an ok idea now that I am at 65k.

FYI, regular hose clamps will eat up the supple silicone hoses.
You might want to consider an investment in some t-bolt clamps, or another style that doesn't allow the clamp to slide along the hose while tightening.

I'd probably be a good idea to throw in T-bolts with the set. How do I make a deposit on a red set?
