Generally speaking, and I'm not a lawyer.... But from what I understand legal issues come from sharing, not from receiving. ie. You buy a CD rip it, and then share with the world. Or do the same with a movie etc.

I'm personally not worried nor do I think any of the Millions of users are. The people who are worried are the "trackers" the people providing the "torrent files"


They in jail now btw... they are appealing.. I dont have much time as I am on break @ work but if you google piratebay trial you can read about it.


Also since they are having trouble passing fiel sharing law in europe which france having one of the tougher laws. They are giving out two warnings and then no net FOREVER! Phone companies over hetre are emailing out warnings of suspected download users and threatning to remove net permantly. (in teh news I have read). Anyways theer are ways around this and I just caution risk with everything you do. Not saying it cant be done.

I know sevral MILLIONS do it and nto get caught but piratebay is last one I would be using right now.
