I used to feel your pain.
Ascinder - It was easy once you get past the allen bolt on the back of the chamber area. I think it was etl - erik that cut down an allen wrench to fit in that tight spot. Do a search and you will find a thread I and he has on it. The screen in my reg. was torn and I was running too rich. I would assume this is the case with most.

For the past month or so I've suddenly dropped to light coming on solid at 275 miles and fill up is 20 gals..
At first I thought maybe it was due to the winter fuel, 10% ethanol, but I never had that issue in past winters. I haven't really had any of the signs of the fpr going bad other than an occasional rpm surge or decline. I did notice the other morning when I went out to warm it up that the exhaust is pretty dark. Sooo,, I'm appealing to the brilliant minds of the vxinfo as to whether ya'll think the fpr could be my source of drastic fuel consumption?
