Just bought me a used Genesis Gen2 at a game trade store this weekend. Sadly, the guy also had a Dreamcast but I couldnt bring myself to getting both systems. My conquest to own all the systems continues, heh.

Gary, if you are looking for a Dreamcast mine is still in excellent condition. In fact we still bring it out for some playtime every once in a while. When we had all the kids over for Thanksgiving guess what they brought out of the closet and played... yup the Dreamcast. Even though I have an Xbox and Xbox360. Let me know if you are interested and I can get a list of everything I have with it.
Really theres still hundreds of people that still play quake2, and have quake3. The shift from q2 to q3 was pretty big as far as the physics. The overall movement went from great to crap in my opinion. And most of the people that play quake2 still just didnt like that. Ive had q3 installed since it came out just wasnt able to get into it. The only thing you actually gained in Q3 was the "pretty" effect. The game looks better but plays worse.
I couldnt get into CS either.. totally different from quake/doom/ut series. THe whole 1 shot in the head, your dead and now have to wait to play again sucked.
Them superbombs your talking about in q2 is a mod. Most quake2 mods are dead. Still some people that play here and there but for the most part its Vanilla and Mutant DM free for all. Or Team death match.
gasmask if ya want Q2 lemme know ill zip up everything ya need and get it to ya.

EXACTLY.
See, the 1 shot kills are exactly why I love CS. If I shoot you in the head with my AK, guess what? You're gonna die! That's the way it should be, imo. I love 30 round clips, reloading, the ability to only carry a pistol, knife and rifle. The more "realistic", the better. CS does have a really steep learning curve though. It took me several months of playing to get to a point where I could actually hold my own and keep my kill to death ratio at least even.
I'd have to agree with the whole waiting thing though. That's why I love GunGame with DeathMatch. It can be really annoying to start a match and get instantly shot and then you have to sit there with your thumb up your butt while you wait for two campers to find eachother and end the round. Either way though, I still think CS is the best online FPS game ever. But that's just me. Its certainly not for everyone.
Really? I didn't know that. I thought they were just part of deathmatch. I have 2 CDs loaded dm maps. I think they are called like Quake 2 action packs or something. I know the maps on these CDs had that super bomb. I just loved it cause you could drop it, and then it would beep, faster and faster and your opponents knew they had to run for their lives! Good stuff.
Thanks, but I am pretty sure I still have the original CD, plus all the action packs somewhere in a box in my garage. I kept all my old games. I still have Doom, Doom II, Heretic, Hexen, ROTT, Blood, Duke Nukem, Quake, Quake 2, UT, UT 2000, etc, etc....
I find though, that it is tough to run some of the older games on newer systems...

WOW - I ignored this thread becuase I still do not have a XBOX360 or PS3 or COD4 (but want it bad).
I am suprised and kinda happy to see TURBOGRAPHX 16 mentioned. This may sound weird but I NEVER had and Nintendo untill the Wii which I get today. I at one time had 5 TG16's in the house. Honestly I just love their games - supper classic. I have always rebelled against the crowd and never wanted to conform to the Nintendo clan. All of my friends that ever played it fell for it too. Their World Class Tennis game is awesome and Bonk's are addicting not to mention (Bloddy Wolf, China Warrior, +Milatary Madness+ (has a cult following) blazing lasers.......)
NFP - I am a member of a TG16 forum, there is alot out thier and supprizing alot on ebay too.
TG16 and the game Milatary Madness happens to be the cuase of my addiction to the VX. My story in summary - I had a VX hotwheel at one time randomly, and at about the same age I played Milatary Madness and saw an anti-aircraft buggy called the rabbit that I thought mimiked my hot wheel, and no later I saw the VX on tv or computer cant remember which at the auto show debut.
TG16 is VERY unreated and very unheard of. I am the only other person that I know that has one other than the friends that I convinced to buy one. Litterally we had 5, one on almost every tv in the home. My room, my two brothers room, my dad's tv room, and the game room. Excessive I know but that is how much we liked the system.
