If insurance will pay - go for it. The environmental effects on unprotected paint may take a while to show up but eventually they will. Waxing would just be a bandaide.

BTW - spent some time down in your neck of the woods (years ago). I took several classes at UT Tullahoma. Beautiful area. Also flew into Nashville on many occasions to perform testing at Fort Campbell & my Sis lives in Brentwood.
