Wow, your plastics are beat! There are a few good spray on, urethane products out there for that. A very thin Rhino Liner if you will. Or shoot it like the Avalanches. Avalanche repair search will yield several things

I have a complete new set for all around the vehicle
I picked up from the dealer sitting in boxes in storage.
I have a few ideas for the plastic
Ive heard everything from using Pledge, Futura floorwax
to a realtively new product called Gatorback.
Im going to check with a friend in town who has a paint shop
too and get his opinion.
Its a restoration in progress, but look forward to driving it.
Not sure Ill be offroading much, even for being in Az.
Well if and when something comes up locally here
in Tucson or surrounding area, lmk.
Ive been here 20 yrs so I know most of the areas but
havent had a 4x4 for yrs.
I was actually thinking about lowering mine about 2" from
stock for something different and add some 17 or 18" wheels
and less off road style tires.
We NEED a CAI!!! Can you make them available?
Live Free or DIE!
The Gatorback product is the one I bought, a few weeks back. It's just a couple hundred bucks to do the entire VX. I shot a hunk of Rav4, just to check it out first....looks great....shoots easy....and won't pull off- it's there for good, like a Rhinoliner almost, just really thin. At some point, I'll strip the cladding off, and shoot it. Painting the stuff shouldn't be any problem, as long as it is prepped right. Plenty of adhesion promoter, and a good raw surface. Stone chips will be another matter. The Gatorback is MUCH more resilient. If you have two sets....Line-x one and go wheeling.....man, you live in VX Disneyland!! Keep the shiny ones for dress up. Bag it....you could go up, or down. You're new( no offense) we've been kicking this !%#@! around for seven years now. I'm the one that wants to do a VQ/six speed transplant, and lose all pretenses of offroadability.....dump the torsion bars, 4x4, and pretty much everything but the body. I am in the extreme minority, and will not do this to 0177.....a beat up donor....well it's time to chopCheck out my gallery...we build a few a year. Right now, it's a '54 Ford pickup (customer car) We're considering another SEMA car. I'll be haunting "Turkey Rod" in Daytona all weekend....looking for inspiration.
