So the meter isn't showing anything? That's really bizarre - I've never heard of a lack of signal at the OBDII connector - were you hooking it up or someone there? Are you sure they hooked into the right connector?

I would try a different store just to verify if their equipment was functioning properly.

I watched him hook it up. It seems unlikely that the plug would not have any electric to test the codes. I will try another auto store.
check the fuse for your horn.. sounds crazy.. but when i installed my air horn my scangauge stopped working.. turns out i had my wires crossed and i blew the horn fuse... replacing the fuse made my scangauge work again... turns out the data port is powered through that fuse... fuse is located in the engine bay fuse box

The horn fuse might be the problem, I took the horn fuse out a few weeks ago because my alarm system was going off in the middle of the night for no reason. Have not diagnosed that problem yet. I will put the fuse back in and take to get checked. Thanks for the help.
