    Hub question

Question. That splined flange that Isuzu uses to lock the hub onto the
outer axle shaft, the one right behind the outer grease cap.
What does it sound like when the flange splines and the axle
splines strip? I think I stripped one.
Yeah, was getting some more wheelin. I made to the top of
    that steep *** hill though.
I don't think it liked my "pedal to the floor" climb in 4w low
combined with 265/75/16 Terra Grapplers. Think I stripped one.
My TOD senses excess slipage in the front right wheel now and
dances the graph. She feels like the front axle is "skipping"
splines, making it feel jerky when you first start to roll.
Like the TOD thinks it needs to send more to the front
axle. Anybody got an answer on that one?

The answer on that one is to simply pull the cap and check it out. It is very easy to take off and see. You will be able to tell immediately if it's stripped. If I remember right, all you need to do is take off the wheel and an additional 6 bolts to see. The front axles are 17 spline if that helps any. I also have two capsfrom when I removed mine and put on selectable hubs if you need some. But if it is stripped bad you might need a new CV which=$$$
