From what I understand on what he is saying, you have the reciever that accepts the signal from your "options" button, which in turn opens the garage door using "hard wires" to the garage door switch.

I remember talking about this at one point. We had thought it accepts the signal from the key fob and then in turn sends a signal to your opener. I guess I was wrong back then.
