I don't think that leaving an arc of rubber behind is 'normal'. Mine doesn't.
Could you tell if it was the front or rear wheel that left the track?
Try finding an open area (BIG open area). Put the VX in reverse and stomp hard on the accelerator a few times. I'm not sure if it'll help but it worked with an old Samurai I used to have when the TX would bind. It certainly won't hurt to try it.
Keep us posted.
You could try changing the rear diff. lube...add fresh LSD additive.
If your rear diff. has a lot of miles on it since the last lube change, it's possible that the LSD additive that keeps the clutches from grabbing has broken down.
You didn't accidentally leave it in 4LO when this happened did you?
Mine "crabs" around corners too. It was way worse when I was rolling with street tires, but now with my A/Ts its minimal...
I need to get my tires rotated.

I dont want to park mine next to yours if it has crabsOriginally Posted by nfpgasmask
Now see, if you had picked a rim/tire combo that stuck out 6" from the fenders (like mine), the crabbing wouldn't be a problem.
