The church would come up with something! They have survived this long on books and stories. Mormons would just alter their teachings to include whatever aliens were discovered as a new chapter to their story. They would probably say, "Joseph Smith was hand in hand with God when he created his own new world in the stars. He wanted his alien people to be able to reach out to humans to show them how good heaven is. That is why they are coming here now. We are to be servants of these great beings to show dedication to our father." Not laughing? Good, cuz I'm not joking; I'm probably right!
