Hmm, new gimmick selling cars with fake ABS lights as a car that have ABS.

However, some insurance companies are dropping ABS discounts. Because statistically cars with ABS are having more rear end collisions than non-ABS cars.

I was looking at buying a compact car a person had for sale on a corner. The price was really good. Not dirt cheap but nicely below Blue Book. After talking to him for a while he finally told me why he priced it low. The air bags had deployed and it was going to cost $3000 to have them replaced. So he purchased some expanding foam household adhesive, from Home Depot, and sprayed it in the air bag cavity to glue the air bag covers back on. Sadly if he had priced it higher no one may have suspected. In some states it is illegal to resale a car without working air bags.
