I'm not sure about that, WyrreJ. When is the last time (prior to the last 5-10 years) that any new car was designed to look like an old car? And if you can think of one, can you name 10 others of the same period (like you can today)?
Cars, planes, trains, electronics, none have ever moved in reverse. On the retro cars...only the outter sixteenth of an inch or so is retro. It is fashion.
Granted - the mechanicals have only improved over time (the 70's gas crunch era notwithstanding). I'm definitely talking about the "fashion" of retro. It seems so pervasive these days - more so than ever before.
