    How did this go unnoticed??

Don't ever remember this being mentioned. Looks awesome. Good stuff TJMAXX! There are a few more shots in his gallery.

Yes, a fellow CT VXer! I have not seen his rig, but one or two friends of mine have spotted it, head-to-toe proton yellow being rather distinctive.

That is kind of interesting. I wonder how well it's holding up. I like the uniform look, but on the other hand I also like the rough cladding look. I think in certain colors this would look great(Proton yellow being one of them), but others(like Victory white), I just can't see. Great find!

yeah, very nice, i saw that pop up on random photos, i think, and saved it in my vx screensaver folder. it is very distinctive, and his own.

BUT something else is stealtyly going unnoticed. enlarge that photo to 400% and take a look at the round parking lights,....looks like new technology to me,
    and the grill....hmmmm

    NICE JOB TJMAXX

Every now and again that proton makes the rounds. Those who have been here a while will not forget the "rickster" chameleon paint job that changed colors as the sun hit it from different angles.

The color was a little bizarre for my tastes but it was different.

That VX of his probably won more sound system awards then all of us put together. Its interior setup was amazing. The truck had no audio peer--none--zero--zilch--nada.
You can see its stacks of national entries and awards at:

I have no idea if Rick still owns it. He moved to Cali and we never heard from him since.

Does, doesn't it. I noticed the lights...but I was more impressed that the shooter got new badges. I remember the chameleon...never really cared much for it.

There was a lifted VX in Phoenix that was for sale a while back (2-3 years ago) that if IRC sold to someone in Florida that was proton on proton that may have inspired this one.

Didn't realize this was done that long ago. No wonder the badges look so good. The difference would bug me as well, but most won't notice...or care. Yellows can be tough to match, pearled yellow? Forget it, you gotta blend...now it's an allover...practically. Wonder how it is standing up. Ct. can be a bit harsh.

Thanks for the props George, I'm back in H-Town, hurt my back in 2005 toward the end of the show season, still down on disability. As for the VX, I sold it and the new owner is taking it to Russia.

Hit me up if you still have the cell, or call the shop.

    Later,
    Rick

Glad to hear you're back in town Rick. Will stop by one of these weekends for a visit.
