The majority of it all looks like harmonizing magnets. Unfortunately, in the engine compartment, I would imagine that by tuning one device's magnetic properties may affect another device's magnetic pull. Pullys thrown off, et al. Lots of metal in there.

With the addition of all those magnets, he may have added another 30lbs to his VX and every pacemaker recipient within a 2 mile radius of him is gonna drop dead, hahahaha.
