Wormgod,
Congratulations on your new additions. They do look great.
After admiring your tires at our little mini meet at Hooters I asked my father to go on the hunt for the best prices on tires (he had already offered--I wouldn't impose on him for that kind of stuff). I asked him to get prices on Nitto grappler (285 60R 18), Yokohama AVS (265 and 285 60 R18), Pirelli Scorpion Zero's (255 and 285 60 R18) and OEM Bridgestone (245 60 R18). Dad is supposed to get back with me this week. You have the Yokohama AVS 285 60 R 18, right?
Anyway, doing my research I came across UTQG specifications for treadwear, traction, and temperature and was specifically interested in treadwear. Nitto's have a 500 rating, Yokohama's have a 320 rating and I couldn't find a rating for Pirelli's. The Bridgestone's have a rating of 180 providing the softest and most wearing of the ones I have data for. Does anyone know Pirelli's number or have an indication of how they compare?
Anyway, I'll probably go with the cheapest but am curious (as are many others, I'm sure).
