New tires on.......with a problem...HELP!!

Ok, I just put on my new wheels 265-70-16's.......... I trimmed the front cladding, but.......... Im also rubbing on the back edge too!! Can the back edge of the wheel well cladding be trimmed?

The cladding can be trimmed a little, but if you have a much more neg. offset on the wheels, the BFH mod may be required.

Jim, I just went through this with mine. I installed 285/60/18 with a 18mm offset. Ihad to take a 3 lb sledge and carefully reshape the rear cladding. If you hit the edge at the right angle, you will move the cladding back maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch. Your basicly bending the sheet metal tab that the cladding is mounted to. You have to be careful. One side came out fine, like it was designed that way and the other looks like it had been hit by a BFH. I also had to have the Torsion bars cranked up so the VX now sits level. I now have all the clearance I need. Here is a side on view.
