Concerning shaving the fender marker lights....

If you drive it a lot or do any offroading, don't shave the fenders with mud. Shaving is purely for cosmetic purposes. Spotting in fitted sheetmetal and then smoothing over with plastic will not stand up to any mid to heavy usage. I found this out years ago when I shaved all my side markers on a truck. It was a DD and got some offroad time in and slowly but surely, the mud began to take too much of a beating from the vibration and cracked up and split the paint.

Proper way to do it.... go old school. Spot in your sheetmetal and then instead of using mud, hammer and dolly hot lead to it. Takes more elbow work, but that is the 100% best way to do it. This is the ONLY way to go when working with older vehicles anyways, plus, it is extremely durable and solid. Show car quality. It;s tough to find someone who can do it as 95% of shops have no techs who do it. Come to MD.... I'll do it for ya.
