Yeah, the same thing has happened to Chicago...the antiquated infrastructure there can just not keep up with the population growth. Reno is growing by leaps and bounds too, but thankfully for Reno, there is still a lot of space for the city to sprawl, not that I want it to, but at least I don't think it will be busting at the seems for another 7-10 years. Otherwise, Seattle seems pretty cool. I would never want to live in a city this big again, but it is very pretty so far, and I haven't even scratched the surface.

There's no way I could afford my own house if I had to buy it again today. Real estate prices are sky-high.

But people keep moving here, for some reason.

One reason traffic is so bad is that we are almost completely surrounded by water. There are no more places to put roads. So every time 100,000 more people move into the metro area, that puts 100,000 more people on the same old, tiny roads.

At any rate...for bettter or for worse...the rest of the world can thank us for Microsoft and Starbucks!
