I-4 is not only cop ridden, but it is a seriously dangerous highway, especially near Disney with all the tourists...

ive done 115 a few times on HIGHWAY 4 to get to class (final/midterm) feels good up until theres a corner. i have to agree with nfpgaskmask, with gas at around 3.2 bucks a gallon 65 on cruise control is teh way to go.
On my way to the Zoo last year I hit at least 110 - that's with the 31.5's. It felt stable enough to me... but then again I have had a '76 CJ-5 with a cherry bombed 304, 3-speed, and 31's up to 110 at night when the soft top started collapsing onto itself... and me! What a rush...but I would never do it again... or would I...

I seem to recall a convoy of VX owners haulin' A** out of Colorado towards Moab at 90-100, and taking no pity on Tim's difficulty keeping up.
Oh yeah, it was right after stopping here...

I have hit the governer with 33" tires.... not sure how fast that is? 125mph?
It definately doesn't feel safe at that speed especially on our wonderful Alaskan highways.... but I made it from Anchorage to Kenai (155 miles) in under an hour and a half.... 2-3AM and another random speeder truck with me the entire way, was one of the funnest/fastest drives I have ever had.
2001 Ironman Daily Driver... 3.5" suspension lift (OME912 springs and 1" spring spacer), ball joint flip, 1.5" front diff. drop, 33"x12.5 TrXus MT, 16x10 Eagle Alloy rims, Interceptor, PV muffler, K&N air filter, Alpine Supercharger, Bilstein shocks, and some trimming.
2000 Ironman Project LS-1 VX... very slow progress but someday....... ohhhhh someday......
i hit somewhere between 105 and 110 in my vx on i-95 didnt really look at the speedo much cause i was makin sure not to hit anythin! problem is i failed to see the cop sitting on the overpass... he was cool about it at least... knocked it down to 65 in a 55
in other cars ive done 130 in an 88 honda prelude si (3 wide, us a hyundai tiburon and mitsu lancer) and a hair over 130 in an audi a4
HAD to wring her out about the second or third day I owned her...topped out somewhere around 105-107.
That was bone stock...haven't tried it since adding s/c etc.
Probably be the same, just get there quicker.![]()
112 about....
yeah in I4 IT'S STUPED TO DRIVE FAST, BUT I JUST NEEDED TO KNOW HOW MY VX COULD HANDLE IN HIGH SPEED AND WHAT WAS IT'S TOP SPEED, OTHER THEN THAT, I DONT TRY TO PUCH IT ANYMORE, CUZ THIS FREAKEN SUV IS A BITCH EXPENSIVE TO FIX. I ALREADY HAD BLOWN MY OLD 99' RODEO LSE 3.2V ENGINE AND MAN THE REPAIR WAS A B!tch, SO I JUST GOT RIDE OF HER, AND THEN MY 01' RODEO SPORT i4, I HAD BLOWN THE TRANNY CUZ I NEVER NEW THE LAST IDIOT DIDN'T CHANGE THE FLUID FOR A LONG AS TIME, AND THAT JOKE COST ME 1,400 BUCKS. NOW WITH THIS 1 I'M BEING SO CARFUL, I CHANGE ALL THE FLUIDS AND MANTINE IT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, especialy after the last owner of this Ironman didn't know how to take care of her.
I hit 105 on my VX couldnt make more because it was limited or something but like folks said before VX NOT ment to drive fast im usually driving between 65-75 on highway and its best for MPG and doesn`t shake to much. The fastest speed i did 140 on my friend audi TT, feels pretty good.
